It's the little things

It's the little things that will have an impact on eternity. I was convicted today while reading the gospels by how Jesus instructed the 70 to cast out demons and they returned rejoicing, yet He told them that it was better for a man to be saved then for a man to cast out demons.

From this it's rather easy to gather that it's doable to cast out demons, and that you can do so without being saved. It's like what Paul said, that we need to work out our salvation with fear and trembling.

On an entirely different note, I was at a healing conference last weekend. Curry Blake spoke there, and between sessions he laid hands on me and prayed and - get this - I'm TOTALLY healed of my celiacs! I had him pray for my other illness at the same time, and we're believing that it's healed too, so I'm getting off my meds next week when I see the doctor.
If you're interested in what a healing looks like, check out this video of Todd White healing. Ted White sat under the teaching of Curry Blake.

I never get tired of watching this video!! Pretty amazing stuff right? Google Curry Blake, and a lot of his teachings are online. I'm actually going to start listening to his teachings with my husband tonight (Lord Willing!). My husband grew up around healings and was actually healed (it saved his life!) when he was just a kid, so he just laughs when I get all fired up over these healings.

JESUS IS LORD!!!!

YAY JESUS!!! (hehehehe.... I absolutely love that Todd White wears a shirt that says that)

Cheers!

Short and Sweet

I'm gonna make this short and sweet. So much was covered over the healing service that I went to that I'm going to have to write a detailed blog post about it later. Suffice it to say that I was HEALED of my Celiac's Disease and am now able to eat normal food... play with play dough... and it's all through GLORY  to GOD.

I want to share what's been on my heart lately after the confrence... and that is that we have ALL POWER granted in us through the Holy Spirit. Power over sickness, disease, and demons. If we command sickness to leave, it must, beacuse we have all power in us... and what are we doing as Christians with that power?
We hesitate to minister while we shop for groceries. The Savior who gave his life for us is worth so much more then a mumbled thanks to the casher. Her spirital life might be at stake!
I literally see "dead" people walking around, unaware that they are going to hell. We hesitate to lay hands on the sick and pray for God's healing power.
Christians, wake up! Life is not a game, WE ARE AT WAR!!!

Leading of the Holy Spirit

Immediately the Spirit impelled Him to go out into the wilderness, and He was in the wilderness 40 days being tempted by Satan. - Mark 1:12

Sometimes the Holy Spirit will ask us to do things that don't seem right. If the Spirit lead you, would you fast for 40 days and allow yourself to be under constant temptation from the devil in that weakened state? I think I would be saying, "really, God? Are you serious?!?"
Think of it this way - Jesus was newly baptized in the Holy Spirit. Sure, He was the Son of God, but His human state needed the Holy Spirit. Remember the first time you were baptized by the Holy Spirit? When everything was new and fresh? Would you have followed God anywhere? Probably, just like Christ did.

But that's not really what I wanted to talk about. I was really lead to talk about this: Do we allow the Holy Spirit to move us in ways that seem crazy or impossible to man? Are we constantly speaking to God, telling Him that we will give everything up if it's His will? That we are willing to depart from the world (go to the wilderness) for 40 days and just seek His face? Maybe you feel like you are already giving everything You have to the Lord? Here are some ideas for ways to grow in your faith: (Note: I cannot claim that I have done everything on this list, I only write this list in hopes that the Holy Spirit will convict both of us to grow)
  1. Bible Study
  2. Get involved in some form of church, even remotely.
  3. Fasting and prayer
  4. Speaking in tongues
  5. Reading books by Spiritual Leaders
  6. Healing Others
  7. Witnessing
Now, the list above is in no particular order... and I do not wish to sound like I am commanding anyone anything except to pray and open you mind to what the Holy Spirit is telling you to do in regards to this.
Cheers,
